The Plaza Bistro is fast becoming one of the South Bay's favorite gathering places for casual, moderately priced and innovative dining. This new addition to The Plaza Suites Hotel provides a unique and modern dining experience; ambiance is indeed the perfect blend of comfort and unpretentious elegance -- ideal for a night of fine food in the company of good friends, or business acquaintances.
The Plaza Bistro offers an array of creatively prepared American dishes with a unique regional flair. These taste-tempting selections are complemented by a variety of fine wines, delicious desserts and coffees to satisfy even the most desirning palate.
Designed for the convenience of both the corporate and leisure traveler in mind, the restaurant has also upgraded its complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast (may be substituted by a full American Buffet Breakfast during periods of high occupancy) for its hotel guests -- even to the addition of traditional Japanese breakfast items. The Bistro’s new a la carte menu is also available in the lounge (featuring a 42 inch plasma TV), through the hotel's in-suite dining and as take out, virtually creating food service availability throughout the day.
The Plaza Bistro's new enlarged kitchen now enables the hotel to cater all in-house events including upscale meeting breaks, intimate luncheons, banquets and wedding receptions for up to 65 attendees.
The Opening of The Plaza Bistro marks the second step in The Plaza Suites’ transformation to a high quality, full service hotel operation.
In December 2003, The Plaza Suites was wired for high-speed internet access throughout guest accommodations, and with complimentary WI-FI access in common areas. Following The Plaza Bistro's opening; all 220 two-room hotel suites will soon be renovated with added service enhancements and guest benefits.
The Plaza Suites is an all-suite property located in Santa Clara, California, 7 miles from downtown San Jose, and 3 miles north of the Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International airport. The hotel features include a heated outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool, and fitness center, meeting rooms, an executive boardroom and business center. There is also a gift shop, and guest laundry facilities. Free perks for hotel guests include a cooked-to-order breakfast, an evening cocktail reception, morning USA Today newspapers, covered parking, and complimentary shuttle service to/from the San Jose International Airport.
Hotel suite accommodations offer separate bedroom, and living room with sofa bed and include a coffee maker, minibar, microwave, VCR, stereo, pay-per-view-movies, interactive video-games, clock radio, telephone with voice mail and data port, hair dryer, iron and ironing board.
The Plaza Suites is convenient to nearby local attractions including Great America theme park, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Bonfante Gardens, and the Tech Museum of Innovations -- and many local restaurants.
